First blogpost in Hippo
This is my first blogpost written in Hippo CMS
I wanted to build my own website and get rid of the tagsoup produced by Blogger. That's why I built my own site using Hippo CMS and Hippo Site toolkit. It's not finished yet (is a website ever finished?) but it's getting close to what I had in mind.
Building this site was one of the reasons I had not written any blog post in months. It took a bit more time than I thought. I had to think what I wanted, played with HTML5 and CSS3 and eventually write some code that tied it all together. In the end I had to configure Apache HTTPD which is something the sysadmins normally do (thanks Bart & Bartosz for your hints). Thanks Hippo for hosting my new blog :-)

@tjeerd my site is the HST demo project with some Forge projects plus my own HTML/CSS design.
In the coming weeks I'll blog about the several components I used, like I did about the Properties component.

@Mathijs yes I know, it's a bit slow now. Still running in Jetty over RMI instead of embedded.

Wow Jasha,
that is pretty nice. I'd like to use the same if possible :)
One question though: Where is your rss feed?
